Fairtrade Church

From the tea and coffee we drink after the services, and the sugar we add to them, to the ingredients in any cakes we share, at CHMC we've made a commitment to using as much Fairtrade produce as we can.

We believe that as a church we're called to be responsible beyond just saving money by buying the cheapest groceries. Rather, we see it as crucial that the money we spend goes to supporting the men, women and families whose lives rely on getting a fair price for the crops they grow and products they make.

As such, we're excited by the challenge of becoming a Fairtrade Congregation - it may cost us a little more, but we believe it's worth it.
